Porcelain Veneer Case
The patient presented
with two dark, twisted smaller upper incisors next to
her two front teeth. We decided to place porcelain
veneers on the upper four front teeth. Our results can
be seen here in before and after photographs:

TETRACYCLINE STAINED TEETH LOOK GREAT WITH NEW
PORCELAIN!
Tetracycline Staining occurs when a
patient takes tetracycline during early childhood. The
developing teeth show a dark banding pattern that can be
difficult for a dentist to correct. In this case,
completed this past Thursday, January 3rd, 2008, two
porcelain caps (also called crowns) were placed on
the top central incisor teeth. In addition, four
porcelain veneers were bonded to the upper canines and
lateral incisors. The patient was quite happy! It should
be noted that the "Before" picture shown above shows
teeth which have been prepared to receive porcelain
restorations. Before deciding to have porcelain
restorations, our patient had plastic tooth-colored
fillings on these teeth. Plastic restorations can
appear quite esthetically appealing. The difficulty with
plastic restorations is they wear and stain more readily.
